Happy Christmas, Happy New Year & Big Thanks to the following for 2012

So 2012 was a nice year in the ‘Carried By Waves’ camp.

Signed contracts with New York based music licensing company Muse IQ and Vienna based record label ‘Audio Kult‘. And most recently the “Swear I’m Not Paul” music blog listed “Softly Held Together” at number 5 in their “Best Albums Of 2012” list. Thanks for that! : ) Was also chuffed that the album made its way on to various international blogs’ recommended downloads lists – including Knox Road (NYC), Off The Radar (Miami) Music Under Fire (Philadelphia), Faronheit (Chicago), The Vinyl District (U.S.A. Nationwide) Sound Of Confusion (U.K.) Sounds XP (U.k.). In addition 2fm’s Dan Hegarty was kind enough to refer to it as “one of the finest debuts of 2012” and feature it as his “album of the week” shortly after its release.

Thanks to Soundcloud for selecting Carried By Waves as ‘Soundclouder Of The Day”! Also thanks to “Hot Press” and “” for listing ‘Carried By Waves” in their “ones to watch in 2012” list at the start of the year. Thanks to MRU Blog for nominating Carried By Waves in both the “Best “Electonica/Alt” and “Best Album” categories for their first annual awards.

Thanks to filmmaker “Angel Mike” from Peru for making the pretty video (see below) for my track “Lights/Climbing Trees” and thanks to “Big Sky” resort in Montana for using my track “Growing Up Together” in their promotional video ( Thanks to HWCH for inviting me to play their lovely festival for a second consecutive year.

Was also very fortunate this year to share the stage with some lovely and talented acts such as RSAG, Little Xs, We Arrive Alive, Sleep Thieves, Sad Soul Circus, Reid, Replete, Kiani, Come On Live, and many more … You guys are great! : ) …

Thanks to the following for the kind words and support of my music “We Are Noise”, The Point Of Everything, The Needle Hits The Groove, The Metaphorical Boat. Rebel Revolutions, Spirit Store and everyone else who reviewed, featured or downloaded the album.

Finally, very special thanks to my manager Laura for all her hard work for the cause, to Foxglove for beautiful Vocals, to Brid O’Donovan for her pretty cover artwork and slick photography, to Maz Cotter for everything! ; ), to Karen O’Doherty for her lovely Violin textures, and to iProv for all his advise, help, tips and support……

Big big Happy Christmas to all you guys and a happy new year!! : )
